Files can be copied from one hadoop cluster to other hadoop cluster as follows:

$ hadoop distcp hdfs://host1:9000/test hdfs://host2:9000/test

I will copy file "test" from one cluster to other.

File names can be same or different

You need to use hostnames because IP address will not work with this command.

Also, here port number is 9000 which should be replaced with the port number on which namenode is configured.
